Airborne radar warning receiver (RWR) effectiveness evaluation tries to establish valid evaluation model and index system and reduces the influence of fuzzy parameter and randomicity of other factors. This study embodies great theoretical significance and applicable value for enhancing the effectiveness of related equipments of airborne RWR.Based on systematic analyses of the features, functions and applications of airborne RWR, this paper aims to establish its evaluation model and index system and figure out the specific statistics to evaluate the effectiveness of airborne RWR. The paper also studies the statistics and transforms quantitative methods into qualitative descriptions to examine whether the evaluation is valid or not. This paper focuses on the technology and appliance of airborne RWR and analyzes its formations, main features, principles of performance, technological index and adaption to environmental conditions. With a comprehensive study of the elements which may influence the validity of evaluation, this paper eventually establish the index system of airborne RWR effectiveness evaluation. In order to diminish the influence of fuzzy parameter and randomicity of other factors, Fuzzy Synthetic Evaluation Model is introduced to accomplish the translation between exact value and qualitative description for comprehensive estimation. Sufficient examples are provided to make a comprehensive effectiveness evaluation of airborne RWR in various environmental situations. Finally, with a close comparison of the conclusions theoretically inferred and drawn by experiments, and experimental examination, this paper examines and affirms the validity of the airborne RWR effectiveness evaluation.
