Distance education based on network technology is An important developing directionof modern education means. And electronic experimental teaching based on thehardware platform realized to network is widely respected by electronic engineeringcolleges because of the authenticity of the experimental results and also it is qne of theimportant contents of practice teaching reform in them. Comeing from a universityteaching reform project, this topic aims at transplanting experiments in traditionallaboratory to network platform to breakethrough the limitation of experimental sites andteaching classes, reducing the input of experimental teaching to improve teachingefficiency and benefite range expanding teaching, meanwhile maximumly retention theauthenticity of the laboratory site operation and visual features.Using the virtual instrument technology, commonly using laboratory instrument withnetwork interface for hardware platform, based on LabWindows/CVI softwaredevelopment tools and the C language programming language, this topic design a set ofremote teaching oriented network electronic experimental software system which canrealize the function in electronic experimental instruments containing a digitaloscilloscope, digital multimeter, signal source, such as virtual instrument.The network electronic experimental software system is divided into two parts. One is alaboratory in the server program which mainly manage the laboratory instruments andequipment, at the same time, it give the response from the remote client request,distributs laboratory equipment, and establish the client program with thetelecommunication connection for the experiments; The other is a client programmainly for students to remote experiment which contains the virtual experiments needto use the common instrument panel. Students can remote access to the lab experimentequipment to operate in real time for each experiment by using the mouse.At present, this software designed from this topic has been used into teaching, theteaching reform program based on also acceptance smoothly and received theaffirmation of evaluation experts. the research results of this topic also lay a goodfoundation for further popularized to other universities.
