Electric submersible pump (ESP) system is one of the main artificial equipments atdomestic and overseas. It has the characteristics of big capacity, high lift, convenientoperation and management ect. ESP high comprehensive failure rate, however, causedheavy losses to oil field. It was proved that one of the root causes of ESP failure is dueto heavy vibration. Therefore, it is imperative for ESP manufacturers to have a softwarethat can test and analyze quantificationally vibration status of a new produced ESP unit,give accurate evaluation on quality of the new unit, find out its common defects andprovide a vibration test report, which guarantees the conformity of the ex-work product,improves its quality, as well as enterprise’s competitiveness.In view of manufacturer’s requirement on ESP vibration testing, consideringvibration parameters as the main research object, this Article makes a detailed designand development to a hardware platform and software for ESP vibration testing systemvia Labview software and deep study on data acquisition, signal processing, dataanalysis ect.The main contents are as below:1. Study on sigal analysis and data processing, proposing an easy evaluation andanalysis method that suitable for project development in accordance with nationalstandard of GBT18051-2000Electric Submersible Pump Vibration Testing Method.The core of the method is the relevant assessing criteria specified in vibration testingstandard which is to estimate and evaluate unit operation status based on vibrationseverity and spectroscopy analysis.2. Study on data acquisition theory and system and find ESP vibration testingsystem structure via CAN bus.The system acquire and transmit vibration data by way ofdigital bus and a special vibration sensor is designed via such CAN bus. It can beapplied to ESP well under severe reservoir condition for higher data accuracy, greateranti-interference capability and more stability than traditional simulated data acquisitionsystem.3. Study on application method and development process for Laview software anddeveloping a software of ESP vibration testing system through Labvies developingplatform. It is indicated by applied examples that this software has either the functionsof vibration data display, analysis and evaluation, or the advantages of good interface and easy operation, which can meet the requirement of engineering application.
