The data acquisition in a complete digital signal system link is the most important part.These days science and technology have gotten rapid development, at the same time dataacquisition technology has also made immense progress.Meanwhile USB is an external busstandard of today’s most widely used. It has many advantages of high transmission speed,support for plug-and-play, hot-swappable and easy to extend. The FPGA application oflarge-scale programmable logic devices is becoming more and more widely,So this paperwill be integrated USB communication protocol with the control chip FPGA technology forexternal logic control and high-speed analog to digital conversion chip A/D acquisitioncontrol constitutes a set of high-speed and reliable data collection and transmission system.The paper based on the research of USB communication protocol. It mainly described adata acquisition and communication system. The data acquisition which is based on theUSB protocol and FPGA electron device the design of two angles, respectively, from thehardware circuit design and the software program. In the hardware circuit design, the paperfirstly pointed out the framework of the system’s overall hardware and technical ratings.Then follows the order of the data flow from the outside to the inside,Turn on the dataacquisition chip, FPGA chip data cache chip USB interface chip selection and circuit design.And underline the problems which should pay attention in the design.In the software programdesigned, the paper at first gives the program of the overall flow diagram. Then it gives thedescription of the design ideas and hierarchy. At last the paper introduced at all levels of thedesign process in detail。It gives a part of the source code and program flow as asupplementary. Finally the thesis introduces the design of the USB interface chip firmware.This paper focuses on the hardware platform structures and FPGA control programs. Inthe last chapter, the acquisition system has past the actual test. The test results show that thisthesis has completed the design of the data acquisition system which is based on USBprotocol. The design programs to achieve the desired technical indicators. The system’sperformance is stabilized. The system erected a bridge between the data acquisition systemand computer by using the USB communication protocol and FPGA。At last the papersummarizes the content of the work done by the system, and subsequent upgrading of thesystem..
