Personnel positioning system based on RFID technology has been widely used, but thedevelopment of the RFID industry is largely limited by the limitations of the applicationenvironment. Aiming at some shortcomings of existing personnel positioning system, putforward a kind of method which can be applied to vehicle personnel positioning system basedon active RFID and GPRS technology. The vehicle personnel positioning system is mainlyused in large vehicles or special vehicles for remote personnel management and monitoring,such as personnel management in the train or the remote monitoring in prisoner escort vehicle.Compared with the traditional personnel positioning system, this system can better adapt tothe complex vehicle application environment, and can be better meet the actual demand.The vehicle personnel positioning system is composed of the personnel positioning label,personnel positioning platform and the terminal control system, the vehicle personnelpositioning label based RFID technology is used for the vehicle data acquisition, the vehiclepersonnel positioning platform is used for the RFID data transmission and the GPRS datatransmission.The main researches of this paper are as follows:(1) Design and manufacture of vehicle personnel positioning tags based on RFIDtechnology, the tag is worn on the body of the personnel inside the vehicle, which is used forcollecting the data of the personnel in vehicle. The tags use of two high-capacity coin cellbattery, while using the power-down and sleep power saving mode. The tags can achievelonger standby time, up to one year(2) Design and manufacture of vehicle personnel positioning platform, the vehiclepersonnel positioning platform is the data interchange station of the entire system, it is mainlyresponsible for identifying vehicle personnel positioning labels and extracting and organizingthe label data, and ultimately transforming the information to the terminal control systemthrough GPRS module. Personnel positioning platform is designed of dual-core, one core isresponsible for the RFID module and the other core for the GPRD module. This design modecan make the system have higher stability and stronger real-time data transceiver(3) Design and manufacture of the terminal control system. Terminal control system isnot only the monitoring terminal of the vehicle personnel positioning system, but also the userterminal, all the data will eventually be aggregated to the terminal control system. Terminalcontrol system can receive the vehicle personnel positioning platform data sent through GPRS module and achieve personnel positioning algorithm(4) To achieve personnel positioning algorithm, personnel positioning algorithm is one ofthe core technology of the vehicle personnel positioning system, this paper uses the centroidpositioning algorithm to locate the personnel position inside the vehicle. This paper analyzesthe deficiencies of traditional trilateral positioning algorithm, and puts forward the centroidpositioning algorithm. Ultimately, in order to improve the positioning performance, thereference tags for positioning error compensation are increased in the system(5) A detailed test is carried out in the simulation environment of vehicle personnelpositioning system, including the software module test, the hardware module test andlocalization algorithm test.The experiment results indicate, the vehicle personnel positioning system designed inthis paper is able to achieve the personnel management and positioning functions in largevehicles. The accuracy of personnel positioning is less than2meters, the system test resultsmeet the expected requirements.
