In Web2.0, the way of transmitting information has been transformed fromtraditional up-to-down linear propagation to many-many “citizen journalism” way. Theimprovement of audience medium quality and lower threshold further decentralize thecommunication right, and the roles of users are being transformed from consumers toproducers. Since the strengthening of UGC platform, the user-produced content is asevere challenge to news generation by traditional media and a shock to the authorityand accountability of traditional media to some degree, judged from either thetimeliness or abundance. Without disputes, traditional media has to make timingchanges in news producing for the sake of breaking through in increasinglycomplicated media environment.Now traditional media production still exists defects like homogenization ofcontent producing in traditional news, lack of news timeliness, lack of feedback andinteraction in news producing process, etc. Audience participation is an important wayto solve these problems.Innovation of this model relies on content and methods. The content innovation oftraditional media news must transfer the focus angle. Firstly, transfer the angle fromthe official to common people. Secondly, widen the ways of news origin and build theplatform to communication these origins. Thirdly, reform the content and quality ofnews and strengthen effect of view. The innovation of traditional media model shouldrely on three matters. Firstly, reproduce the whole process of media will transfer theaudience participation model. Secondly, build the own platform of audienceparticipation and attract mass audience through reflect and mutual communication.Thirdly, find advantage of news production and focus on the news investigation, thencan build the authority by professionalism.
