The purpose of this research is to study the theoretical system of UserGenerate Content(UGC),including background(When),users(Who),contents(What)and motivations(Why).According to participation levels and accessing ways to information,this research divides users into several groups as sporadic,lurkers,socializers,debaters and actives,which become the UGC user models.Based on the study of Maslow's hierarchy of needs and Herzberg's Motivation-Hygiene Theory,user motivation models were divided in to three dimensions of society,individual and technology driven orientation.By analyzing different user types and developing motivation models,the final goal of the project is to establish user growth system,stimulate users to generate contents and increase their activeness.UGC is created by users,which makes it highly related to individual thoughts and emotional feelings,and at the same time has social interactive properties.Users could be motivated to produce contents in large quantities by certain motivation system.This method could be used to meet users' personal and situational needs for interest.However,those application platforms emphasizing on universal user needs haven't satisfied these needs yet.Therefore,this project aims to exploring UGC by applying it to designing a product that recommends mobile apps...
