Research On Digital Library Portal System

Passing through many years' construction, the Digital library already became a very important application system in the network environment, it has contained massive structures and the non-structures information resource, and massive serves base on the Internet. These information resources and the service have characteristics such as heterogeneous, distributed and dynamic. Each resources and service were already in large scale, the Ensuing question is how to integrate these resources and services, and display and performance of these resources and services in the online in accordance with the needs of users, made the user accurate, convenient, quickly to find the information that oneself need. Therefore, constructs integrate the resources and serves of Digital library and has the outstanding expressive force portal, becomes urgent demand for the current construction of Digital library.The portal is a kind of network service, it is the unification service window of the Digital library faces to the user, it can integrate the related resources and the service together, provides personalized, discipline one point gain way, and achieves seamless link between the resources and the service. With the perspective of Digital library services, the portal is also one kind of application frame, it during construction, also deployment the resources and the service of Digital library and show the function.The emphasis of this article is the exploration to integrate the information resource and the service system of library through the Portal technology, construct Digital library service portal, enhances the use efficiency of library resources, and reduces cost of the library service and the management. This article has carried on the function to expansion LightPortal and POSH according to the service demand of the Digital library. And carries on the massive portal module (portlet) using development frames JSF, SPRING, HIBERNATE, This article constructed initially a Digital library portal systems that has integrate literature information resource, discipline subject portal, information push, content management and so on. At present, the system was already operational in Inner Mongolia University library.
