Digital campus provides students with a dynamic and open network environment. It supplements and expands the traditional classroom teaching. The development of network courseware resources helps the digital campus teaching, which makes it form a new kind of teaching mode based on resources and develop rapidly. However, in the area of music web-based teaching, network courseware development relies on the technicians. Therefore the courseware cannot reflect characteristics of music teaching and it influences the quality of teaching and the efficiency of the courseware development as well. For that, the goal of this thesis is designing and implementing a music courseware on-line authorship system.This thesis analyses the feature of music web-based teaching and courseware on-line editing systems that are widely used. The work that follows specifically includes three parts:1) Research the process and demand of music education and the feature of existing music network courseware. Categorize the content and resources of the courseware.2) Design and implement a web-based music courseware on-line editing system, which has a friendly operating interface and WYSIWYG editor. Different editing measures are proposed for different music courseware content. It simplifies the process of make courseware and makes its structure clear.3) Develop plug-ins for the special teaching resources such as music score and audio. The whole system is also designed based on plug-ins, so the system has very good scalability and its functions are easy to be added or deleted for the changing needs.This thesis studies the users’requirements, designs and implements a music courseware authorship system, which is full-featured, simple-operating, easy to maintain and supports extensions. This system reaches the design requirements after passing the functional tests and having a highly satisfactory result.
