Design And Implementation Of An Online Music Courseware System

With the deep penetration of Internet technology, digital music has touchedeveryone’s life. Digital music has been improved most rapidly in music appreciationarea, but not in teaching, creating and research, which is improved very slowly due tothe restrictions on conditions and demand. Based on the practical needs of China’smusic education, this thesis aims to design and implement an online music coursewaresystem, meeting the needs of China’s professional music education, and promote digitalmusic in music education fields.The existing tools of music courseware production and playback are whether havecomplicated steps to make music courseware, or are depend on a specific player. Basedon the analysis of these tools, this thesis is mainly about these following work:①research and analysis the requirements on the music education.②design anXML-based file format for online music courseware and a resourcespackaged format.③design and implement a musiccourseware production and playback system for thecourseware file format, using Microsoft Windows Form and Adobe Flex technologies,which is convenient to use. Using the system, users can conveniently place music scores,audio, video, etc. to the music courseware, adjust the courseware elements’ location andoutlook, set courseware animations, and then publish the courseware online. Thecourseware can be played through the web page by learners.In this thesis, we research the users’ requirement, design a file format of musiccourseware, and implement a courseware building and playback system for this format.This system has passed the functional tests.
