Design Of A Multimedia Courseware Integrating System-Oriented To SCORM-based Reusable Teaching Resources

The development of distance education is based on web-based courseware. It's found, sharing and reusability of a variety of learning resources in Web-based environment become the bottleneck of courseware development, especially for the practicality and economy, to produce high-quality courseware efficiently. In this paper, analyzing SCORM based on the characteristics of network-aided instruction, through the steps such as the planning and design of courseware, courseware structure planning, sharing of content objects (Sharable Content Object, SCO), etc, a design approach in conformity with a standardized SCORM is proposed.In addition, accompanying with the courseware teaching reform focused on the practical problems encountered, a framework of online courseware integrated system is designed and a prototype system is implemented. It's following the SCORM specification, and has ability to online design, create, and modify courseware. An experiment has been used to successfully test the availability of the prototype system.
