Design And Implementation Of L3VPN Function

Packet Transport Network (PTN) technology of which the core is packet switching, has highly efficient statistical multiplexing function, and provides carrier-grade OAM and powerful protection function. Above all, PTN is the important choice in IP-based MAN. In the3G stage, PTN equipment can satisfy the business development needs well. But with the development of the LTE, base station and network structure will be changed accordingly. PTN should satisfy the S1and X2interfaces needs of which the L3VPN bearing demands.Based on the L3VPN business requirements, this paper has designed and implemented the function of L3VPN module in the "IMS-1000Intelligent Network Management System". After function requirement analysis of L3VPN module, we design the following functions:basic business, bridge between the L3VPN and L2VPN service, DHCP relay, VRRP, ARP. Via these functions, the system can achieve basic business requirements of L3VPN, the data exchange between L3VPN and existing L2VPN business, and network redundancy protection. In this paper, basic configuration has been designed in the node, and the additional functions for topology display, network security protection, network redundancy protection and the bridge between two layer and three layer have been highlighted. These additional configuration business are the key for L3VPN function in this system which is different from other systems. After presenting the whole designing scheme and the function division of L3VPN module, this paper elaborates the operation principle in the system of these functions, the parameters in the equipment, and implementation classes in detail.L3VPN module, as part of the network management system, has passed the test of China Mobile Research Institute, and meets the requirements of the carrier of PTN network management system construction successfully. At present, the standard and implementation plan of L3VPN has not been unified, the research of this paper has certain reference significance.
