With the accelerated deployment of new services such as 5G,artificial intelligence,and the Internet of Things,address resource restrictions have become more and more obvious.IPv6's massive address resources and its security features have allowed the industry to reach a consensus that IPv6 is the basis for future industrial transformation.SRv6 technology is based on IPv6 technology,which forwards and processes data messages,simplifies processes,improves efficiency,and reduces the complexity of network protocol deployment.The main work of this thesis is as follows:(1)Introduce the basic principles of network processors,VPN concepts and forwarding principles,L3/L2 VPN business processes,and functions;(2)Elaborate the header extension format of SRv6,the meaning and function of the node type in the SID table entry,design the SRv6 table entry process,and explain the effect of each table entry on the data message;(3)Design the data structure,use IDE tools to design the data structure of FDPO and DDPO,including defining fields,establishing mapping relations,etc.,to realize the transfer of data from top to bottom;(4)Test the results of the entries in the design plan,configure and deliver the data message transmission channel,determine whether each entry is successfully established based on the configuration and delivery status,perform a flow test on the overall business flow,and capture packets at the exit Check the packet loss situation and verify the feasibility of the design scheme through the result of no packet loss.This thesis starts with SRv6 technology,based on traditional forwarding technology,designs the SRv6 forwarding scheme in the VPN process,and realizes the function of using SID instead of VPN label.The SRv6 forwarding design has been applied to R8000 E and 850 devices to provide services for operators.It is believed that it can be more widely used in network services in the near future.
