Temperature and humidity are closely bound up with man’s daliy life. In departmentssuch as industrial and agricultural production, meteorological phenomena, environmentalprotection, national defence, scientific research, temperature and humidity often need to bemeasured. With the improvement of people’s standard of living, the higher requirements onthe environmental temperature and humidity measurement has to be raised.The disadvantageof traditional temperature and humidity monitoring system is that inconvenient to set up andcost higher.Nowdays,with the development of wireless communacation technology andwireless sensor network (WSN) technology,the design of low cost wireless temperature andhumidity meter can be realized.The system samples the environmental temperature andhumidity of the sensor coverage area by WSN,and reports it to the user. Research onconvenient and accurate methods for monitoring the temperature and humidity has importantsignificance. The design has characteristics of that accurate measurement, convenient, simple,flexible, by using single-chip-machine and digital sensors to measure temperatureandhumidity,but also can greatly improve the technical parameter of temperature and humiditymeasurements. Thus better meet the needs of the people’s industrial production and daily life.This paper introduces the design of the wireless thermo-humidity monitoring system.Thedesign adopts digital sensor AM2301to measure the temperature and humidity, It takes theNRF9E5to acquire and transmit the data by wireless communication. The temperature andhumidity data can be processed and displayed conveniently with a application software in PCvia the RS232interface.The text gives the structure and hardware of the system in detail,tests the system software. The system realized point-to-point wireless thermo-humiditymonitoring, it can run stably and has good usability, which may be applied in many kinds ofwireless temperature and moisture monitoring. It has characteristics of convenient to set andhigh accuracy to measure.
