Self-organizing network is formed by a large number of sensor nodes; it’s capable ofacquainting the data information of the environment object, and transmits to the observer viamulti-hop routing. Building monitoring is an important part of intelligent building; it uses thenetwork to integrate water, heating, security and other systems, improving work efficiency byunified management. Wired sensor network monitoring system consists of large amount ofwiring, has high cost of installation and maintenance, low reliability, and some parts of somebuildings cannot be wiring. The introduction of wireless sensor networks in buildingmonitoring system makes the system more efficient, convenient node deployment, highflexibility and low cost of maintaining.Building monitoring system uses ZigBee technology with the idea of low power inprinciple. Hardware platform is built with CC2430as core, and is integrated temperature andhumidity sensors, smoke sensors and infrared sensors. The node uses ZigBee to monitor thetemperature and humidity of the room, and can report the occurrence of fires and broke into.Node software is based on Z-Stack protocol stack and it has a detailed analysis of therouting mechanism and task management. The system can periodically send information, andsend alarm information in real time. The design of host computer management software iscompleted with Delphi and SQL Server; it has access to information throughout the ZigBeenetwork nodes through the serial port. It can monitor the network topology and location,temperature and humidity of each node, fire and security alarm function is also clearlypresented.
