Video surveillance technology is Playing an important role,which is widely used inUrban transport,civil security and other fields with its intuitive,convenient and abundantinformation,particularly in the security important sector and in the significant event field.withthe rapid development of mobile communications, video surveillance monitoringdevelopments from the wired network to mobile video surveillance.The terminal technologyof Mobile video surveillance is developing quickly,and the hardware performance has been abreakthrough.Smart phone with the characteristics of fully functional is the best choice formobile Video surveillance terminal equipment.iPhone platform that Apple developed greatlyPromoted the development of smart phones,and the platform Provides a good openingperformance,which has brought a turning point for the popularity of smart phone videosurveillance system.In this paper,the implement requirements,advantages and present development of themobile video surveillance system were introduced firstly.Then,main technologies of themobile video surveillance was researched,and a design of mobile video surveillance systembased on iPhone OS was proposed combined the features of both video surveillance andiPhone OS system,detail illustration on the design and implement method of the modules inthe system were given,mainly including network transmission module,data receiving andprocessing module,video decoding and playing module and the user interface module.In thenetwork transmission module and data receiving and processing module,the strategy based onTCP protocol respectively is designed for WLAN.In the video decoding and playingmodule,complete the transplantation of the FFMPEG decoder.In the user interfacemodule,designed the interface such as login interface,information interface,play interface,thepicture saving interface and so on.The system software was tested in smart mobile phones,theresult shows that the core functions of the mobile video surveillance system successfully.This subject designed a video surveillance terminal software based on iPhone OS,whichsatisfied peoples’ demands on getting video surveillance information anytime and anywhere. With the popularity of smart phones, it will be beneficial to the popularizing of videosurveillance, and the result can be extend to business such as video session, VOD andhydrographic survey,meanwhile,it can be used for studies on video monitor as a reference.
