The Design Of Client Software In Mobile Video Surveillance On Windows Platform

With the evolvement and integration of the third generation mobilecommunications and a variety of broadband wireless transmission technology, thebottleneck of Mobile Video Surveillance is gradually broken. Considering thedevelopment of integrated circuit technology, the better intelligent mobile terminalcomputational performance and faster computation speed, coupled with efficient videoencoding technology progress, it is possible to make intelligent mobile terminal,real-time video decoding. In addition, terrorism, investigators and industry needs,especially the requirments in social life put forward new foreground for intelligentmobile terminal-based wireless video surveillance.In this paper, back on the traditional video surveillance program with streamingmedia technology, we designed a client terminal based on the Windows Mobilesmartphone platform video surveillance. Firstly we introduced the Windows platformmobile operating system, Windows Mobile (WM) characteristics, and then analysisedthe key technologies in mobile video surveillance. Next, we discussed the the WMclient video decoding system which is based on FFmpeg design, and then we designedclient software interface design based on SDL. Ultimately, we implemented mobilevideo surveillance client with the following three modules: transmission module,decoding module and display module. Transmission module uses the RTP/RTCPprotocol to complete the RTP packet reception while the video decoding moduledecodes Surveillance video streams in the third-party codec library FFmpeg. Thedecoded image display and playback through SDL. The test results show that thedevelopment of mobile video surveillance client has good real time and stability in theWM system, and it is able to meet the basic needs while using mobile monitoringsystem.
