Improving the quality of network communication and providing users withhigh-quality network services is the focus of communications operators. Base station isthe hub of the entire network and has a significant effect. Therefore, the remotemonitoring of in-fire control, security and dynamic environment of base station isessential to ensure its safe and stable operation.The integrated monitoring system of base station consisits of base station sitemonitoring unit and the master station monitoring center. Base station site monitoringunit works in the machine room with a severe environment, which is countered by usingthe Freescale i.MX53controller as hardware environment and embedded Linuxoperating system as software environment. The master station monitoring center usesLabWindows/CVI as software development environment that provides a graphicalinteractive interface for local data management and remote control of the base stationequipment and video monitoring.Firstly, thesis analyses the overall mission of the base station monitoring systemand designs the functionas of each of its components. It also clears the working processand builds the development environment of the system.Secondly, to establish a reliable network connection, a practical and reliablecommunication protocols is made. Based on how the bandwidth, congestion and otherfactors of the network affects its transmission quality, thesis researches the error controland congestion control mechanisms of TCP and selects the appropriate transportprotocol according to different data flows.Thirdly, thesis divides the embedded software into four subsystems, including theengine, network communications, device control, and video processing subsystems, anddescribes the detailed design of each subsystem and workflow. The real-timerequirement and accuracy are very important for monitoring system, so thesis putsforward the corresponding programming method and optimizes codes to improvesoftware reliability in combination with the system’s characteristics.Finally, thesis designs a friendly interface of the master control center andcompletes user login registration and management, real-time alerts, device control,parameter configuration and alarm recording query, and other functions, and realizeslocal data management and remote monitoring of the base station. Through testing theentire system, the validity of the software design is verified.
