China’s water resources are extremely poor. There are some problems on uneven distribution of time and space, excessive development and low utilization rate of water resources. Many of the reservoirs, lakes, rivers and shallow groundwater, as urban residents’drinking water sources, have been polluted to various degrees. The planning and construction of urban water supply facilities also have some serious problems. The problems have badly harmed water supply quality and water quality security, and they have also affected the daily life of urban residents.In order to meet the high standard requirements of drinking water quality and automation production process of urban drinking water treatment process, we must reform the traditional water purification process technology of urban water supply industry. This subject introduces the ultrafiltration membrane technology of the third generation urban drinking water treatment process. And we study attentively the automatic control system in ultrafiltration membrane water purification treatment process.Aiming at the problems of shortage of water resources and serious pollution of drinking water sources, this subject puts forward some solutions such as engineering large-scale constructions and reforming process technology of ultrafiltration membrane water purification process, establishing a set of complete automatic control system to realize the automation production process of water purification treatment process. Therefore, this subject presents some suggestions about how to choose a design scheme of automatic control system in ultrafiltration membrane water purification process, how to determine the functional requirements of the control system and how to design a set of universal control system. And we carry out a series of investigation, analysis and argument on the suggestions.This subject puts the ultrafiltration membrane water purification process of waterworks as the research object. Based on the functional requirements and control scheme of the control system in ultrafiltration membrane water purification treatment process, this design selects relevant hardware configurations and software tools, and completes perfectly the research and design of automatic control system in ultrafiltration membrane water purification treatment process.The research results of this subject include:study and summary of ultrafiltration membrane water purification process technology; analysed functional requirements of automatic control system in ultrafiltration membrane water purification treatment process; selected a control scheme of adopting PC, PLC and HMI; introduced Fuzzy-PID control algorithm to design the system controller; completed the design of PC monitoring system and implementing the real-time monitoring function on the whole ultrafiltration membrane water purification treatment process.Ultrafiltration membrane has a series of important characteristics, such as strong adaptability for raw water quality fluctuation, high water yield, good effect of environmental protection, facilitating real-time adjustment, varying application scale in a wide range, realizing industrial production and automation control of water purification treatment process. This subject completes the research and design of automatic control system in ultrafiltration membrane water purification treatment process which puts ultrafiltration membrane technology as core content. At the same time, the application research of the automatic control system can also provide certain reference value for the new waterworks and old waterworks’upgrade.
