With the great development of science and technology, the development of mobilecommunications faster and faster. The2ND generation mobile communicationtechnology has been fully mature, the potential for development close to the limit, at theedge of the product obsolete. In the age of rapid deployment of3G, WCDMA as3Gtechnology is the most mature, the most abundant terminal, commercial longeststandard. China Unicom operators already have a huge user base, and the growthprocess which is constantly, so the WCDMA talent growing demands.As a Communications Vocational Colleges, where the author works, needs aconsistent in tech with communication operators. So, with mobile communicationsteaching needs, design WCDMA technology-based teaching platform with integrityand the featured profession, the project must be considered. Plus the background ofbuilding a national model Vocational Colleges, the author had proposed constructionprojects for the paper. The platform covers a wide range of talent cultivation andtraining, have functions such as student teaching, staff training, professionalidentification, research, and others,we strive to achieve the leading domestic level.This paper discusses the WCDMA teaching platform to the entire network ofWCDMA as the research object. Papers departure from the status quo of WCDMAoperators, first expounded WCDMA commercial, a brief study of the significance ofWCDMA for teaching. Then introduced the idea of teaching platform, focusing onanalysis of the core network and wireless network planning and design of the system,including the current CN version, and the subsequent upgrades extension requirements.Finally, the paper introduces the teaching platform specific implementation of theproject. The main contents are as follows:1, Have an analysis of the operational status of the WCDMA system proposedproject building needs. Analysis WCDMA core network version, the most widely usedversion of the build in accordance with the operation of the existing network teachingplatform to achieve interoperability. The platform is fully consistent with the businessenvironment, to take open architecture may be considered to be connected with other teaching platform, service interworking.2, Have a research on the best teaching platform networking structure. Select theequipment of the domestic well-known manufacturers, to take full account of the latterpart of the upgrade and expansion requirements, planning the selected device todetermine the core network, the number of wireless side of the network elements, boardconfiguration, the bearer type, teaching business content.3, The teaching platform data plan, and also propose the design principles teachingplatform queuing software. Complete device interoperability, and consider thepossibility of post-upgrade and expansion, to ensure the availability and sustainableapplication of late.4, Have a research on the commissioning of the project implementation andplatform construction business. Which business after the commissioning of therecoverability important consideration, to facilitate the students to use the process toreduce the maintenance burden on teachers.After construction is completed, I led and participated in the platform formeasurement and inspection work, the subsequent teaching design is still exploringsummarized.
