WCDMA Wireless Network Planning And Factual Application In Daqing

The standard of the third generation mobile communication technology is proposed according to the current development of technology and users' demand.,It's essential target is to realize communication among anyone at any time and in any place. WCDMA communication can realize higher system capacity, and has the advantages such as resistence to interference, soft handover, reuse of same frequency, convenient access and so on. Therefore, it has become the mainstream of the third generation mobile communication.At first, this thesis has introduced the history of mobile communication technology and WCDMA adopted in the third generation mobile communication system. Secondly, it has been pointed out that the advantage of a WCDMA system capacity can only be obtained through reasonable network planning., and the difference between WCDMA and GSM network planning is also discussed. In the third chapter, the problem of WCDMAnetwork capacity has been introduced from the point of wireless planning.Through the analysis on WCDMA system load factor, the interference level allowance as well as the signal to noise ratio, the relation among WCDMA system capacity, coverage and the grade of service is demonstrated. The method to compute system parameters, such as traffic volume, system capacity, load factor, disturbance allowance and plot radius is also presented. Finally, on the basis of demand on network capacity, coverage and the grade of service in Daqing area, a WCDMA wireless network has been planned by use of Alcatel wireless network planning software. The designed network can provide many kinds of services(such as VOICE; Videophone; Email, MMS, picture bell sound downloading; WEB ; Video frequency class), and itsperformance(such as Pilot Ec/Io; Receive level; Soft cut; Emissive power) isvalidated by software simulation and analysis. It has been shown that the designed WCDMA wireless network can well satisfy the expected requirements.
