With the rapid developlement of advanced radar technology and other associated electrical technologies, especially the digital signal processing(DSP)technology, the very large scale integration(VLSI), the computer technology and the communication technology, adding special signal processing system between the receiver and the displayer of eatly radar was born.The signal processing system of certain phased array radar is in a high degree od integration, and the information process of system is very complicated.The system works in the dataflow driving mode and accomplishes the singnal processing with the cooperation of many electrical boards, which are in a high degree of integration and have many test pins.The state parameters of the boards are not only in a large amount but also very complicated.It is impossible to get the system states, find the failure and locate the failure position by tradition instrument measurement.So far, when the system is in failure, there is no way to clear the failure except restarting the system to force the board reload the program or replacing the boards one by one, which would cost much time and heavy work while ti is not easily to locate the failure position and would cause secondary failure.As the tasks of the range tests are very heavy and the preparation time is usually short, it is important to design a integrated test system, which could test the system states easily and rapidly, display the test results visually and locate the failure correctly in time.To solve the problem above, the signal processing system of certain phased array radar was the main research plant in this thesis.Based on the deep analysis of technology theory of the radar signal processing system and according to the needs of operational needs, the function requirement of the system when working was deeply considered, and the design planning, the ruction realization and the post effect of the system were deeply and comprehensively researched.1.Starting from the basic theory of the digital signal processing, the digital system of the phased array radar was analyzed.And the data exchange between PPC6model and the IPC by making use of the board features of the system.2.The test work mode was developed.By the communication made on network when the system was offline, the debugging interface would send control words to PowerPC, and then the PowerPC would transmit the control words to macro command model, so that sending control orders from radar could be simulated.3.To get the working states of every element, the model test system was built based on the PowerPC mode, and the method by which each boards of the digit signal processing system of the phased array radar communicated with the PowerPC model was researched.4.Interactive interface soft that could be easily administered and maintained was developed to realize setting up the signal type, testing the states, getting the data and analyzing the adta.
