In order to meet the needs of modern high-tech development and solve the various problems of the conventional mechanical scan radar encountered in complex electromagnetic environment, the phased array radar arises at the historic moment. Taking advantage of computer to predict, to test and and to evaluate the performance of phased array radar system is necessary because of its complex equipment and high cost.In this thesis, the system simulation model is built on the basis of the structure and working principle of typical phased array radar. Some researches on phased array radar antenna pattern, beam positon arrangement and signal processing techniques are presented in this thesis. At last, it researches several jamming methods based on digital radio frequency memory for phased array radar and proposes improved methods.Firstly, fundamental structure and working principle of typical phased array radar are introduced. Every function module is abstracted to build a system simulation model of phased array radar.Secondly, some researches and simulations of planar phased array radar antenna pattern and sum and difference beam pattern are done through comparing them to the simpler linear arry. In the following contents, analyses and simulations of beam position arrangement for phased array radar are done because of its special scanning mode. Then some key techniques of signal processing are analysed and simulated, including pulse compression, constant flase-alarm rate detection, clutter suppression, angle measurement and ambiguilty resolution. Simulations are done meanwhile to test and verify the theories.At last, some kinds of jamming methods based on digital radio frequency memory for phased array radar are modeled and analysed. Analysing noise convoluting radar signal jamming in time domain and frequence domain to confirm that this kind of smart noise jamming can get a good suppression effect to phased array radar. Research on the interrupted-sampling and repeater jamming is done and factors that affect the radar jamming effect are analysed. An improved idea is put forward for squar-wave sampling disturbance and derivation is given. At last, the principle and jamming effect of shiftfrequency jamming are researched. To avoid its disadvantage that easy to be detected, an improved method using non-uniform shift- frequency is proposed and confirmed to get a good jamming effect through simulation.
