Phased array radar is a new generation of measurement and tracking radar. Because of digital beam non-inertial deflection and mono-pulse radar precision tracking measurement, phased array radar can measure and track multiple targets in the increasingly complex situation. Phased array radar is a mono-pulse radar using phased array antenna and has many highlights that include multi-target tracking, large dynamic range and autonomous capture capability.Phased array radar system contains two major components of the signal processing and data processing. The signal processing obtains metric information of the targets in the complex environment of clutter, noise, active or passive jam using the same radar, the same distance unit and the same scanning period. The data processing includes filtering, smoothing, forecasting, tracking, data association and composites the target trajectory using information from the first processing.In this paper, the typical signal processing, the algorithm of measuring speed, the algorithm of tracking orbital and maneuvering target were studied according to a type of phased array radar simulation requirements while each module algorithm simulation completed.The main content and work in this dissertation can be summarized as follows:1. The typical signal processing algorithms for radar detection are researched and verified by MATLAB simulation, which include pulse compression, moving target indication, doppler filtering, constant false alarm rate detection and mono-pulse angle measurement. 2. Speed measurement algorithms for moving target are researched and verified by MATLAB simulation, which include speed interception, solving velocity ambiguity algorithm, spectrum refinement algorithm. 3. Ballistic midcourse target motion is Singer modeling, filtered by extended KALMAN filter and verified by MATLAB simulation. 4. Data association algorithm for multi-targets and maneuvering target tracking algorithm are researched and verified by MATLAB simulation.
