The Design And Implementation Of Information Management System For The Left-behind Children In Rural Areas

A great number of children are left behind in rural area as their parents have beenincreasingly leaving home and become migrant workers in urban areas amid the rapiddevelopment of domestic economies since the reform and opening-up. Those children in thesecular absence of their parents are called the left-behind ones, who, apart from school life,spend most of their time living with their relatives. Due to the poor living environment in theisolated villages, lack of family education and social attention, they have imbalanceddevelopment in both body and mind. Few of them has a clear picture towards life and values,they may easily be misled astray or even in the worst case commit crime. In such context,they need a concern and care system platform to raise the social attention from all society sothat they can live a happy and health life.This essay aims to design an information management system (IMS) for the left-behindchildren, in which their information are collected and input to establish a database for them,so as to facilitate their management and follow-up. The first step of the system design is toprove the practical significance for establishing such a system by conducting on stieinspection on this system’s relevant background and information, and to define the technicalroute and environment for developing this system based on the research status and thefeasibility of this system. An analysis will be conducted on the functional requirement of thissystem. The preliminary findings and opinions solicited will be integrated to define thefunction of this system basing on the actual condition of this system. A correspondingdeployment will be made on the model to draw all the model diagrams. Then it focuses on theintegrated design of system modules and database system, including the design of functionalmodules, the interface design of the implementation code and the specific operation, as wellas the datasheet and script designs of the database system. Next, it is to achieve the functionon each part of this system, including the flow design of each functional module. Finally, acomprehensive test will be conducted on each module of this system in order to make surethat the system meets its design requirement. Compared with its counterpart, this system hasless complicated design and less modules, with its both usage and design basically reachingtheir expected purposes, making it possible for the system to run normally.This system, which primarily uses Visual Studio2013as the front platform developingtool, is developed by integrating SQL Server2008r2to establish the backend database and isconsummated with the connection technology of ADO.NET. The entire system, which hashigher efficiency in development and provides faster visual and effective experience inoperation, can ensure stability at work.
