Design Of The Remote Monitoring System For Pressure Regulators Detection Platform

Abstract:Pressure regulators are very important parts for the cylinders. In the industrial field, the application of the cylinders is more and more widely, and the quality testing for these regulators becomes especially important. At home and abroad, there are many standards on the quality testing of cylinders, many experts are remain committed to the research on testing standards. The standard "CJ50-2008" is chosen here. The testing items which are demanded in the standard mainly include: appearance, air tightness, closing pressure, outlet pressure, regulating the static characteristics, strength, durability, low temperature resistance, etc. The static characteristics are chosen to be the testing item here. The research about the communication between the detection platform and PC is quite little. Generally speaking, the communication is cable. Sometimes, it is necessary to exchange real-time data remotely, to exchange data between multiple detection platform and PC, to release and save the testing results remotely, so the wireless communication between the detection platform and PC is researched in the paper. Based on the wireless communication, a remote monitoring system is designed for the detection platform. The main work is as following:(1)A detection platform is introduced in the paper, it’s conducted by researchers in the same laboratory. In the structure of the platform, AB PLC is the automatic controller, the pressure sensors and the flow sensors are the data acquisition instruments. The function of the platform is to achieve the detection of the static characteristic for the pressure regulators under different working states.(2) ZigBee is used for the remote monitoring system to achieve the wireless communication. In the designed wireless network, the terminal nodes and the coordinator nodes are necessary. CC2430is chosen to be the wireless transceiver chip. The communication interface, power supply, JTAG debug interface, clock and the antenna for the nodes are designed. ZigBee2006protocol stack is chosen for the software part. In order to achieve the effect of the low consumption, a star network is chosen to be the ZigBee network.(3)The platform can be communicated with the PC serial port after VB programming, then the data is received and saved. Besides, VB can communicate with Intouch by the way of DDE. Intouch is used to design the upper machine software of the remote monitoring system. And the function of real-time monitoring for the detection process is achieved.(4) The platform can be communicated with the PC serial port after Visual Studio programming. The data processing platform is designed with SQL Server 2005Express. After the study of the various algorithms, Block Binary search which is fused with Block search and Binary search is used to achieve the function of querying data. After further data processing, the result of static characteristic can be concluded, and the functions of data backup and restore are achieved.
