In order to feed the requirements of advanced, high efficiency and real-time monitoring for gas dispatching system, a remote monitoring and data acquisition system of gas pressure on regulator station is designed in this paper. This system stores immensity data by USB mobile storing equipment based on the wireless communication and monitors the regulator station by personal computer (PC). The system presents important features such as wide region covering, high speed, high efficiency, and low cost. At the same time, the USB mobile storing equipment is used to collect data from regulator station and more information can be stored.The hardware of the monitoring system is composed of data recorder, communication module, several kinds of sense organ, and USB interface microchip. In the regulator station, the data is collected by recorder firstly, the signals are transferred into electrical signals and then are stored. Data can be transmitted through communication module into control center by wireless network. Control center can analyze and query the data. The data can be also copied and stored to control center by USB storage. At the same time, LCD display can be deployed in remote monitoring station to display the data. The system can realize the objective of portability, low loss and convenience.Software designs are also need for the monitoring center and the remote monitoring station. With Visual C++6.0, the running monitoring center software is designed to achieve the data reception and transmission, manipulation of the data base and protract curve of history data. The users with different right can check and modify data in the control center. The remote monitoring station software is designed with C-language debugger. It includes single chip initialization, main program and interrupt of gathering signal, SMS reception and transmission program through the serial port, reading the data of computer directly by using USB and so on.The connection with the regulator station recorder by the designed software, the system communication, data collection and storage are debugged and completed. The experimental results are also present to verify the reliability of the system.
