The Study Of Typical Character Report From The Perspective Of Social Control

Typical character report is a traditional news style in Chinese media, which hasplayed a significant role in China’s news report history.This article tries to discuss the typical character report from the perspective ofsocial control, analysis of the typical character report social control function, the basisof the typical character report social control function disorder, and finally from theheight of the construction of socialist harmonious society to explore the relationshipbetween typical character report and harmonious society, and in view of the currentproblems existing in the media on the typical character report put forward its ownsolution, in order to better play to its social control function, lay the solid foundationof social control.This paper argues that media reports set an example for the public, so as tomaintain social order, the purpose of regulating the behavior of social members, so thetypical character report has an important social function—social control. Mediareported typical character is based on the social mainstream values, and use variousstrategies to make the audience to accept and learn the typical character, andconsciously abide by social ethics, ethical standards, achieve the purpose of socialcontrol. With the change of the social environment, audience’s subject consciousnessenhancement, as well as the typical character report itself exists some problems, thesefactors continue to hinder the typical character report function of social control. Buttypical character report won’t die because of this, because the construction of socialistharmonious society cannot leave the social control, the need to set an example in thesociety, the need to build everyone positive, positive social environment, the essenceof these and typical character report consistent and advantage, the typical characterreport will play an irreplaceable role in harmonious society construction.But the media must according to the development of social situation, change andupdate the traditional model, played down the political color, pay attention to theaudience’s psychological demand. Only when the typical character report is no longeras a tough, can it toward a new broader heaven and earth, to win the audience’saffection, better play to its social control function.
