With developing of modern society, testing technology should satisfy the new requirement of modern manufacture. Computer vision technology and modern industry PC are usually applied to build testing equipment in order to reach the goal. Vehicle fuse box is an important unit for protecting circuit of vehicle, consequently its quality should be strictly guaranteed. In this paper a steady testing system is designed based on LabVIEW and IMAQ Vision Library in double state machine, which is with functions such as date acquisition, testing information display, failure analysis and data saving.The testing plan was made based on the schematic of vehicle fuse box, and hardware system was built based on industry PC, DAQ equipment, CMOS camera and cylinders.In this paper, relevant concepts about computer vision and visual instruments were introduced elaborately as well as the concept of state machine. The structure of vehicle fuse box testing system was based on double state machine which consists of two state machine structure-data acquisition state machine and data processing state machine. Moreover fuses position testing was finished through the method of color matching. The color matching process was realized mainly by functions of IMAQ ColorLearn VI and IMAQ ColorMatch VI in IMAQ Vision Library.As a result, the vehicle fuse testing system can steadily finish testing within15s. All testing information can be displayed on the HMI screen in real-time. When unqualified product appears, the system will analysis product state automatically and display possible failure reasons of the product. In the end of testing processing, all testing information will be saved in SQL Server2000database.
