Teaching Platform Design For General Technology Based On WebQuest

General Technology as a new subject, involves the broad scope, with strong sense of The Times. With the latest web programming technology and learning style of WebQuest, the research is to provide a customizable, interactive and multifunctional teaching platform for General Technology course. The integration of Information technology and characteristics of the course, not only gives full play to the teacher’s teaching skills, but also improves teaching efficiency.In this topic, the research way includes document retrieval, questionnaire, system research and action research. In order to contrast and research, I study the research condition in this field at home and abroad firstly. And I analysis the General Technology course learning situation of grade one of high school, to explain the possibility and necessity of constructing a platform, Then I design the system framework based on reading a large number of documents and data. With the application of Browser/Server three layer architecture, the platform design in asp.net (C#), which is a dynamic web programming language. The platform is provided with the following technical characteristics:better expansibility, expansibility, security and reliability. While, the support for cooperative inquiry learning and process evaluation are the function characteristics of the platform. After accomplishing development, the platform is used trial in Fuzhou Ge Zhi middle school. Finally, I conclude the platform application results and ask for advice, through the questionnaire and interview surveys on the teachers and students who use the platform.The platform has played an effective role in actual teaching circumstance. With the development of teaching theory and technology, the platform will be gradually improved and has greater value in actual teaching circumstance.
