With the continuous development of information and communication technology, the Internet has been widely popularized, and the information age has been arriving in the human being society. The new media, to the Internet as the main carrier, enables people to obtain information more conveniently. The new media not only can provide a large amount of information, but also can meet the public’s right of access to the media unprecedentedly. So the public’s speed of response and awareness of interaction to emergencies are enhanced unexceptionably. What’s more, under the condition of the new media, the propagation environment becomes more and more complex and the uncertainties are growing more and more fast. Due to the presence of these factors, in the new media environment, government should make some new adjustments and new changes and do some effective crisis communication and management to ensure the government crisis public relations successfully. It can help government during crisis to reconstruct the image and credibility of government. Thus that can protect the public interest and safeguard society stably.For a new change of government crisis public relations in the new media environment, the paper is divided into four parts to the analysis and expositions.In the first part, it is starting from the current theory of government crisis public relations,and discusses the research background and the current research, Besides, the methods of research involves a simple exposition. So these all can help to elaborate the background and significance of the topic.In the second part, it discusses the characteristics of new media, and on the basis of the characteristics, the opportunities and challenges of the public relation of government in crisis under the new media conditions are discussed.In the third part, it discusses the error response of the government crisis in the new media environment.In the forth part, it discusses under the new media conditions investigations of the new strategies of government crisis public relations.In the exploration and discussion the new countermeasures of government crisis public relations, the paper focuses on the combination of theory and practice. And it also expounds positive and negative cases of the countermeasures of government crisis public relations to make the new strategies more targeted.
