The three-dimensional reconstruction of the medical tomography image is a three-dimensional geometric model which study in how to use the two-dimensional scanning image sequence that got from the medical imaging equipment to build tissues or organs and showing and "truly" rendering on the computer output devices. It’s a research field of the integration of cross-curricular interests, which involves the digital image processing, the computer graphics and the knowledge of the medical field. The result of the three-dimensional reconstruction of the medical tomography image can be produced and saved as images and replayed online or offline as a movie. It’s good for the management of the brain image data, and also a part of the realization of digital hospital. It has broad prospects for its development.The thesis elaborated the research of the three-dimensional reconstruction of the medical tomography images and did the relevant experiments and simulations to by using the the brain tomography scanned images in The whole brain database of Harvard Medical School.First, it preprocessed the brain medical tomography images, which contains the image generation and display, the geometric transformation, the image enhancement, the image segmentation, etc. It also analyzed and accomplished the classic algorithms that have been involved. It proposed a plane image reconstruction method in multiplanar reconstruction of the volume data and oblique section generation. It utilized the three-dimensional matrix operations to combine the logical operation and numeric calculation to process the images while calculating. It meets the need for real time, takes high advantage of the data and makes the images clearly. It realized the preprocessing of the images and got good results by using the image processing techniques of OpenCV. It’s a good data foundation for the three-dimension reconstruction.Then it compared the current popular algorithms of three-dimensional reconstruction in medical and proposed the three-dimension reconstruction of the brain medical tomography images, based on VRML. It achieved the three-dimension reconstruction and visualization, which are based on the tomography images scanned from multiple directions, the gray scale and color tomography images. To meet the needs of the human-computer interaction, it coded and accomplished the operations for the three-dimensional image of the brain, such as move, rotate, zoom, cut, measure and so on by combining the VRML and JavaScript language. It also realized any orthogonal plane cutting and diagonal plane cutting for the three-dimensional brain model.At the end, it designed and achieved the brain medical tomography image processing and the system for three-dimensional visualization, and also realized the system for the preprocessing of the brain medical tomography images and the visual of three-dimensional reconstruction that have been related to the study, which showed the effects directly with strong interactive.
