Application Of Virtual Reality Technology On Engineering Modeling And Resembling

Virtual reality technology is a new integrated information technology that has been widely used in 90 century. Virtual reality technology combines technology of computer graphics, communication, system modeling etc, and has the ability of providing users a three-dimension virtual reality environment which can build and enlighten thought so that users can easily get communication and interaction with it through direct and natural interactive means, so that users and the virtual environment can be integrated to a whole body. Applications of virtual reality in engineering modeling and simulation can not only reduce the repetition of procedure of engineering design and production, collect system dynamic data and provide evidence for decision, but improve the degree of video of engineering design and production, and make users themselves real in that virtual environment.This thesis, aims to build layout of construction scene in freeway construction engineering and real time reaction and browse with users, lucubrates the application in engineering modeling and simulation. This thesis analyzes the technology of modeling and simulation in engineering, investigates the joint method of VRML and foreign tools; combined with the construction of virtual simulation system in the construction of freeway, analyses several modeling methods using the technology of virtual reality which based on VRML; gives a full research on the modeling method of terrain scene based on LOD, and realizes it via GeoVRML and Java; discusses the realizing mechanism of activity and interactivity in the simulation system, and realizes the dynamic simulation of the construction process using the technology of EAI; analyses the query method based on VRML, and realizes it in virtual scene.This thesis provides a direct three-dimension design for freeway construction scene and has some application and reference value for visualization simulation.
