With the development of science and technology, high-precision of the charged particle track pixel detectors are widely used in high-energy physics experiments. U.S. Department of Energy supported the electronic bubble chamber is a low-energy neutrino experiment into the trace measurement device, in order to carry out research in the field of neutrino, my school silicon detector laboratory developed a top metal pixel detector (TopMetal) which can work in the electronic bubble chamber, and the main purpose is to be used to detect the electron drift over from the media, and then got the low-energy neutrinos trace. This paper has designed a readout electronics platform based on the TopMetal chip, used to test the performance of TopMetal chip and provides the basic hardware test platform for the following IC chip.The test platform is mainly composed of FPGA board, ADC sampling module board, IC bonding board, UART channel board, USB channel board, Ethernet channel board, Optical fiber channel board and etc. The test platform is highly versatile, it can configured flexible according to the test requirement. This paper main research work is to design a modular platform for the IC chip test, work content includes the FPGA board, ADC sampling module boards and data transmission channel board design and the firmware design of the FPGA control module.1. We use the Xilinx company Virtex5LXT Series XC5VLX50T FPGA as main control chip of FPGA board, and the board extended out of the13standard interface slot, including156pairs of differential I/O up to550MHz clock rate and up to10pairs of high-speed rocket I/O of1.0625GHz. And the FPGA firmware mainly adopts DCM (Digital Clock Managers) technology to implement the clock signals of each module and the timing control of IC chip.2. ADC sampling module use65MHz sampling rate of Texas Instruments (TI) ADS5282chip, which is an8-channel12-bit serial DDR (Double Date Rate) LVDS output, so the shift register is uesed in the FPGA firmware to convert the serial sampling data to parallel data. Now the ADC sampling module board work stable clock is40MHz, the data transfer rate up to240Mbps3. Data transmission channel board such as USB channel board, the USB controller use the SlaveFIFO mode. In this mode the stable clock is24MHz, the data transfer rate can be up to384Mbps(24MHz*16bit).Finally, the tests have shown that this test platform can work stable and reliable, it can meet various needs of TopMetal test, but also provides the basic hardware test platform for the future of the IC chip.
