This article gives an overview of current GPS development status and its operational characteristics, and analyzes normal patrolling business of the Patrol Corps of Jiangsu Public Security Bureau. As long as the patrolling vehicles start off the highway, they keep moving, and the control center can not control and manage them, so if GPS terminals are installed in the vehicles, they can be effectively monitored, managed and dispatched, and the police patrolling on the highway can report emergencies and weather emergencies promptly to the command center.
