In recent years, China’s automobile industry has been rapid development, vehicle ownership and road traffic has increased dramatically, making traffic congestion, traffic congestion and the resulting increased dramatically. Therefore be applied to a variety of advanced technologies in automotive engineering, to reduce traffic accidents, improve transport efficiency, reduce pilot work load of ideas came into being, thus creating a new discipline: Intelligent Transportation Systems(Intelligent Transportation System, referred to ITS).ITS system core application part is the car navigation, car navigation while the core technology is real-time traffic information services and navigation electronic map standards. Our country because transportation and communications infrastructure is not complete, until now there has not established a complete set of real-time traffic information collection, processing and dissemination of effective way. Domestic vehicle navigation systems available on the market are mostly based on static traffic(such as road grade, road width, whether charges) while route guidance, a serious impediment to the development of vehicle navigation market. This paper uses C++ as the system development language, the purpose is to make the system application robustness and stability can be guaranteed. In the aspect of system data transmission, data transmission through the TCP/IP protocol for data flow, the flow of data from the overall grasp, and to ensure that each layer has a clear division of the data. This paper first analyzes the security of the system requirements analysis, feasibility analysis and system. Then the hierarchical system structure of the ideas for the further design of the system, the system with various data analysis algorithm based on the corresponding location of the C++ platform, the design of vehicle navigation system based on electronic map.This system has realized the basic data management, organization and access control, car navigation and electronic map display system route etc.. But due to the complexity of urban traffic, and the presence of change trend, so that the shortest path lists using the brute force method may not be the most effective. In the design process in addition to factors to consider data problem of the city but also the important consideration is the road itself, such as the ring road and the road to one-way street problem constraints, this problem is not displayed in the path of the topology map, therefore in the process of analysis, consider figure into the dual graph, and after testing, the design can be implemented correctly. Through the design and implementation of the system, the vehicle navigation system is extended, according to the feedback of the current navigation software and people and the actual needs of users, to solve problems and improve the convenience in use is analyzed, and the development and expansion of the system.
