Design And Implementation Of Group Hotel Integrated Management Platform Exchange Center System

With the development of market economy, the increasing number of domestichotels and the engagement of foreign hotel groups in the Chinese market, competitionin the hotel industry will be increasingly fierce. Aimed at a sustainable developmentin the fierce market competition, it is necessary for China’s hotel industry to conformto the trend of the times, to change the traditional business philosophy and mode ofcompetition with the use of information technology means and to improve marketcompetitiveness.In order to further promote the construction of hotel management informatizationand to adapt to the future needs of operation, management development, GuangzhouHotel begins a technical cooperation with Sun Yat-Sen University School of Softwareand Guangzhou Chi Soft Technology Co. on production, learning and research. Withthe application of new technologies, the original platform will be upgraded to a newgeneration of the Group Hotel Management Platform. Sun Yat-Sen University’sresearch project number is “62000-7101046”.In this thesis, the exchange center system is one of the core systems of GroupHotel Integrated Management Platform, which aims to achieve real-time delivery ofall kinds of business and management information, between the upper and lowerlevels, the work transparent interaction between the departments, and the achievementof a systematic management of special work. It brings change in the way ofcommunication and work to managers. And it is designed ultimately to improveinternal communication efficiency and enterprise management level as well asenhance the goals of the business execution.I have taken a year and a half, serving as one of the main developers ofIntegrated Management Platform. In the meantime, with the combination ofGuangzhou Hotel Group’s internal management and communication, a variety ofdomestic and foreign internal communication tools as well as the use of the J2EE ofStruts+Spring+JDBC technology architecture and MVC design pattern, I havefinished the independent design and implementation of the exchange center system.This system consists of the following four modules: work exchange center, publiccommunication center, enterprise messaging and corporate meetings. Among them, public communication center includes the following four sub-modules: news,announcements, notices management, public message boards, group discussions andpublic activities. In addition, I have also participated in the development work ofpersonal document management system platform, contact management, schedulingmanagement, and user group management.Group hotel management platform has successfully run on the line since January,2013in Guangzhou Hotel with good results in four months. Especially the exchangecenter system meets the needs of the hotel internal management and communication,its application gained approving and favorable comments unanimously withinGuangzhou Hotel management personnel.
