Due to the relatively complex and closed environment of coal mine, when the disasters and accidents such as gas explosiong and water peneration happend, the working staff would often be traped from being rescued by great difficulties. Current coal mine monitoring systems are usually constructed by cable network, which possesses the features of high data transfer rate yet poor net extensibility. The data transmission delay caused by the wireless sensor network when it is used in long distance communication and severe underground environment disturbance directly lead to the significant reduction of wireless signal transmission distance. Therefore, further study on the coal mine monitoring system and the design a real-time positioning system of high accuracy have great theoretical significance and practical value.Under the premise of the analysis of domestic and international positioning system, this paper conducted the study of the basic principles of wireless sensor network positioning technology. The ranging mechanism which is suitable mine environment is established, the improvement aiming at the defects of Gauss filter model in ranging mechanism is presented, the Causs filter model based on rules is presented and the error of the wireless signal strength measurement caused by interference is reduced. The adoption of adjccent centroid localization method coupled with the collaborative Taylor series expansion method which is used for coordinate positioning greatly enhance the positioning calculation accuracy.According to the established personnel positioning scheme coupled with the domestic safety production requirements, this paper adopts the hybrid location scheme based on ZigBee technology and CAN bus, which is a full adventage intergration of both technology. The system consists of three parts:wireless identification card, base station which collects the relative position information from the wireless identification card through wireless signal and uploads the information to substation through CAN bus, substation which finishes personel position identification using the uploaded data. Finally, on the basis of selecting the corridor as a test site which is the most similar and practical towards mine roadway environment, the system is tested and relatively satisfied results are obtained, proving that the system prossess practical feasibility.
