Underground positioning system of mine is not only the need for digital mine, but also an important part of coal safety production, this paper is mainly for the need of our domestic mine, and proposes a system of wireless underground personnel location that based on ZigBee technology.It makes a comparison between several popular wireless communication technologies in the article at the beginning, through analysis and demonstration; it chooses a wireless underground communication and positioning technology that based on ZigBee. It determines the overall composition program of the whole system, including a inoue computer monitoring system and a wireless underground location system based on ZigBee.The inoue computer monitoring system is the core, it works by configuring position and monitoring software on the computer, the system must make sure to grasp the concrete distributed situation of the underground staffs timely, so it can make it easy for the underground management and staff scheduling. The wireless underground location system based on ZigBee consists of gateway nodes, reference nodes and mobile positioning terminal, first of all make sure that each underground staff takes a portable positioning Terminal(CC2431), its interior has a positioning engine, according to specific coordinates that from the pre-installed reference node and RSSI average ,it can calculation its own exact location, then sent the results to the underground gateway node(CC2430)by wireless, the underground gateway node sends gateway data to the monitoring center on the ground by cable way(RS485), finally the monitoring center can determine specific location of each underground staff by the locating and monitoring software.The experiments and analysis of the results of positioning show that the system is stable and dependable, it can locate exactly, so we can believe that it is an effective system, and it can certainly have vast prospects.
