As the main energy of our country, coal will continue to occupy a decisive position in quite along time, and country pays high attention to the safe production of coal. More and moreadvanced scientific and technological achievements are transformed and applied in the coalmine environment. Effectiveness of the building and perfection of “Six Systems” ofunderground coal mine safety hedge has been proved by the success rescue in main accident athome and abroad over the years. The personnel locating system is of great importance as oneof the six systems, The personnel locating system is one of the six systems and which hasgreat significance, because the information including position coordinates is meaningful.Taking the wireless sensor network and safe production of coal as the object, the compensationof transmission loss of wireless and the improvement of the location accuracy of the minepersonnel system are expanded to study.Through the discussion of the application background and the status of development ofZigBee and wireless sensor network, the basic design idea of each part of the hardwareplatform is expatiated by using the advantage of ZigBee, its necessity and feasibility areanalysed, and the formation of the whole communication network is completed finally.Realizes the wireless communication between the nodes on this basis and implements theposition calculation from the corresponding communication data.According to the special environment of coal mine and the transmission loss of wireless,based on the mirror method, the compensation method of wireless loss model undergroundcoal mine is proposed, and the analysis and calculation is conducted by the principle of mirrormethod. Network clustering method is adopted to reduce the communications traffic in thenetwork topology levels.On the location process of network to unknown node, a fusion method of underground personnel locating and tracking is proposed, which Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI)and Link Quality Indicator (LQI), under the premise of no increase the cost of hardware. Thelocation effect is improved by the location calculation of data analysis. The simulation resultsshow that this method can reduce the computational complexity and ensure the objective ofreducing network energy.Because of the changing location environment, the environment of each fieldunderground main is not different. Different mode of location database is established in thepaper, and the compensation parameter of different places is summed up, which completes thelocation calculation of the whole field.
