With the development of the energy industry, positioning management is becoming an effective tool for safety supervision in mine. The positioning system for personnel in mine can monitor the staff and record the number of them real-time. So whenever an accident happens, the situation of the scene of the accident can be searched from the monitoring computer, and the number of trapped personnel can be shown in the software, these provide a scientific basis for the accident rescue. Meanwhile, personnel in mine may be monitored by the daily management of the software. However, current software system of this type can not obtain the information of staff in mine in time, once an accident happens, accident rescue is difficult to effectively implement because of the lack of reliable data.With the development of WSN, various information of observing objects can be perceived and collected by the collaboration of sensor nodes arranged in the monitoring regional, finally more accurate and detailed data are obtained by analyzing and dealing with the information. The amount of data controlled by WSN node is greater than the amount of data calculation, the amount of data transferred is more than the amount of data processing, low bandwidth, however the power should be saved.Zigbee network has the properties of Self-organization, dynamic routing and less nodes. Meanwhile Zigbee network considers how to save the power of system and reduce the computational cost. Contract to other wireless protocols, Zigbee wireless protocol provides lower complexity and less energy requirement, specially it gives a series of standard rules, three working frequency bands and some network configuration and optional security functions.By using an wired or wireless network equipment which is advanced and reliable, this paper achieves the requirement of personnel position in mine management, which is comprehensive, accurate and real-time. Terminal equipment connected directly to the internal local area network, makes the whole system which is based on advanced network architecture to achieve more management, query, maintenance functions. When the network disconnect, the positioning terminal in mine can completely stand-alone operation. And it can automatically upload the records of position in mine after the resumption of network. The entire management system, including position in mine management, personnel management, card and fingerprint on file, record queries, reports, summary and other application modules, can carry out comprehensive management and services for personnel underground position in the daily management of company. Positioning in mine software allows centralized authority and decentralized management, includes a flexible, comprehensive reporting system, the user can customize report formats for various needs. It has a separate staff report, which shows detailed information of the person in mine, including the time of going into and out the mine.On the demand of positioning system for personnel in mine, this paper divides the system into four sub-modules, which are the module of wireless sensor network, the interactive graphics module, the backward management module and system maintenance module.The main function of the wireless sensor network module is to collect the workers'positions and send the information back to the control center on ground, and from these, the control center can extract some information, such as monitoring every worker's positions real-time, attendance checking, searching a position of some worker, saving a worker's trace and recording the work time of every worker.The interactive graphics module is between the ground base station and maintenance system, providing interactive interfaces on terminal to show the map of mine and the position of workers, enable customers to search information, update workers'data and the map. When the information from the base station is abnormal, the module can send alarm signals to notice customers. The module also can search the worker's position, change, add or delete the information of nodes. The other functions include such as searching database, showing the position and information of a worker, checking the property of information and comparing the timestamp, and reading map data from the maintenance system and alarming.The backward management module has the capability of data management, including backup data from the base station to database, recording the mobile nodes'traces, counting the number, list and working time of the current persons underground, and receiving the abnormal signals from the devices carried by workers.The system maintenance module maintenances the information of system database, and manages the sensor database and map database respectively according to the difference of the context in information. Sensor data management includes initializing the ID, IP address, routing information, and time of every sensor node, updating the data of sensor nodes by adding, deleting or changing sensor nodes. The map database management includes two main functions: starting the management of map and writing new roadway information.Aiming at the system's requirement, in accordance with the software development process, this paper completes the summary design and detailed design, and then gives the use case diagrams, sequence diagrams, active diagrams, state diagrams and class diagrams of every module, and the deployment diagram and component diagram of the system. The positioning system has six components, which are mobile nodes, wireless sensor network, sink nodes, base station, interactive graphics and system maintenance server, and deploys, according to mobile nodes, sensor nodes, sink nodes, base station, log database, interactive graphic node, backward administrator, database of mobile nodes, system maintenance nodes, database of wireless sensor nodes, information management of wireless sensor and database of mine maps.Finally, on the base of the above design, this paper develops and implies the software system, and improves the functions in detail.
