For the last eighty’s century, blind date TV programs had been first enter the Chinese audience’s eye. Ten years later, with all over the medias to imitate each other, there has emerged over30dating programs in china which present a prosperous scene. Although most programs run not well, even aborted in the halfway, it has become an important television phenomenon in China’s media history. As "the Remaining time" is coming, blind date television programs receive another pursuit, along with broadcasting of Jiangsu TV’s "if you are the one", Hunan TV’s "make our appointment", Zhejiang TV’s "love Lianliankan" and so on. These programs have original form, public place for communication and large scale topic discussion. From guest to host, on the stage or under the stage, any topic about marriage has become people’s leisure time. However, anything cann’t avoid meeting some bottleneck during the process of development. It has also attracted a lot of criticism in the face of media homogeneity competition, overflowing the shallow entertainment, and the lack of cultural value. Some people even think that there are lots of unhealthy contents in the programs, such as "money worship", abnormal marriage attitude which spread an erroneous concept, potentially mislead the public thinking, distorted media’s good image, which give rise to a very bad social effect. Therefore, how to make blind date television programs along the correct track of sustainable development, is a question for all the media.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is to explain the research background, research significance and present situation, and generally describe methods; The second chapter reviews the development process of television dating programs both at home and abroad, combined with the current domestic successful "if you are the one","make our appointment " and other dating shows, analysis the popular reasons of dating program;The third chapter is to summarize and analyse the problems of current dating programs; The last chapter has put forward four strategical advice and suggestions for the future development of blind date TV programs in China.
