Late19th and early20th century philosophical thought in Western society the impact of modern Russian national consciousness and culture flourish, showing a scene of prosperity. Russian formalism was born in this period, and became one of the important literary aesthetics of the20th century’s most influential factions and vitality. The Shklovsky’s "strange" is the core concept of Russian Formalism. Strangeness is through the traditional deconstruction and renovation, to produce a creative way so that the distance between the viewer and the beauty of the work. After the core concepts of the theory as a literary and aesthetic theory, academia them a more comprehensive study. The theory has been widely applied to various fields of art, such as film, theater, design, music and so on. However, the theory rarely enter the field of education, language teaching in only borrow the results of this theory. As a first attempt, I will introduce the art of teaching the theory of strange, unfamiliar with the perspective of theory teaching high school to study art appreciation.This paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter introduces the question of how the proposed research status, significance and relevant research methods; The second chapter, mainly on the strange theory and the basic principles outlined and the strange theory applied in various fields, for the strange theory in high school art appreciation course Teaching pave the way; The third chapter, the status of high school teaching art appreciation and the main problem; Chapter IV of this article focuses mainly introduces the strange theory of art appreciation class in high school teaching. The fifth chapter familiarizes meaning in art appreciation class in high school. The sixth chapter is concluded with a reflection of this article. The main theory is certainly a strange application in high school art class and its significance, and its limitations are discussed, and finally introduced the strangeness in high school art classroom applications require attention.
