With the rapid development of science and economics, especially with the coming of knowledge economy and information explosion, the old examination-oriented education that cannot meet the new requirements of reform any more, will be replaced by quality-oriented education, which provide a prerequisite for the students’ all round development of quality, personality and speciality. The aim of quality-oriented education is to educate every student, and make each of students get full developed and improved. But the springing up of students with learning difficulties will be definitely the obstacle to the operation of quality-oriented education. So it’s imperative to find out the reasons and the solutions for the springing up of students with learning difficulties. Based on some questionnaires and educationists’ theories, this article analyzes the reasons for high school students with learning difficulties in chemistry. It can be divided into6parts:The first part is an introduction to this article, including background, research objects, methods, aims and values.The second part is some basic theories about students with learning difficulties, including its definitions, causes of formation, domestic and international research achievements in this respect.The third part is questionnaire and analysis. Firstly, we give some explanations on the design and methods of the questionnaire, and then make fully analysis on the investigation data.The forth part is analysis for the formation causes of high students with learning difficulties in chemistry. Combined some theories with the investigation data, we try to find the reasons for the students with learning difficulties in two respects: the inside reasons(students themselves) and the outside reasons(transition from middle school to high school, teachers, subject of chemistry for Grade1of high school, and the surroundings).The fifth part is the transformation strategy for the students with learning difficulties. We propose7strategies, they are:(1) pay high attention to the transformation teaching from middle school to high school;(2) lay emphasis on the mental health education;(3) develop their interests in chemistry;(4) teach them how to study and help them form a good habit in studying;(5) encourage them to ask at least one question each day;(6) teachers shouldn’t stop improving ourselves;(7) create a supportive learning atmosphere. The sixth part is case study on transformation of students with learning difficulties, including the research and analysis on2students with learning difficulties in chemistry.At the end of this article, we make some conclusions on this research, propose some questions and hope for future research on transformation of the students with learning difficulties.
