The goal of quality education is to improve the quality of all citizens,including all students.However,the emergence of students with learning difficulties hinders their own development,affects the teaching result and violates the requirement of quality education.Grade one of high school is the beginning of the high school chemistry.Comparing with the knowledge in junior middle school,the knowledge in high middle school is more difficult and abstract.If students still use the old ways to learn chemistry,they will face more difficulties.If they can't solve these difficulties in time,they will feel that learning is getting harder and harder,which will affect the whole high school learning.So it is important to analyze the causes of learning difficulties in chemistry and find out the transformation strategies.This thesis consists of seven parts:The first part is an introduction,including the raise of the focus question,the related studies in China and abroad,the research content and method,the research purpose and significance.The second part includes the definition of basic conceptions(students with learning difficulties and poor students of chemistry)and related theories.The third part is an investigation and analysis about the causes of learning difficulties in chemistry.In this part,the author selects the senior students as the research objects,and selects questionnaire survey and interview survey as the methods to carry out the study,and then makes a detailed analysis about the results of the research.The forth part expounds about the causes of learning difficulties in chemistry of senior one.The reasons are divided into two respects.The internal causes are lack of interest and motivation,negative attitude,bad learning methods and habits,improper attributions and weak foundation.The external causes are chemistry factors,family factors,school factors,social factors and the connective teachings of chemistry from junior to senior middle school.In the fifth part,according to the related theories and the actual situations of teaching,the author puts forward some transformation strategies for the poor students of chemistry.These strategies include:(1)stimulating their learning motivation and cultivating their learning interest;(2)enhancing their self-confidence;(3)guiding students to attribute in a positive way;(4)establishing a good relationship between teachers and students;(5)strengthening the guidance of learning methods and breaking bad learning habits;(6)paying attention to the connective teachings of chemistry from junior to senior middle school;(7)implementing stratified teaching;(8)pushing students to help and learn from each other;(9)improving learning environment and strengthening the connections between family and school.The sixth part is a case study about the transformation of two poor students.It includes the case study and the analysis of results.In the last part,the author gives a summary on this research,points out some shortcomings and proposes the prospect about students with learning difficulties.
