The ultimate goal of situational teaching is to develop students’ interest in learning, encourage students to use the language actively. Primary English curriculum reform also emphasize the importance of situational teaching, the situational teaching has a pivotal role in the implementation of new curricula. According to these principles, the English teachers should focus on the creation of situations in teaching, focus on thinking about how to creat situations to meet pupils’ learning and psychological characteristics, students perceived in the context of real and lively language, flexible way to master the language, use language, decent stimulate their learning emotional and creative desires, arouse their learning enthusiasm and creation, find the fun of learning English, improve students’ comprehensive ability of using English.This paper researches the study on situational teaching in the primary school English classroom, it consists of two parts:Raising the situational teaching principles and applying techniques to primary English teachers in English classroom.This paper includes four parts. The first part analyses such as the background and significance of this study; The second chapter describes the theoretical basis for situational teaching, analyses about the application research of situational teaching in English Teaching in domestic and abroad, summarizes the value of situational teaching in the primary school English class. The third chapter proposes the design process and principles of situational teaching. Chapter IV summarizes the strategies of situational teaching in primary English classroom with teaching practices.
