| Full-time compulsory education curriculum standards Interpretation in English (experiment draft) says,"The English teaching in primary schools should pay more attention to the scientific design of teaching procedures,striving to create the situations with rich knowledge,practical skills and learning strategies."Situational teaching is a hot issue of the education studies and it is also the common concern of English teachers in primary schools. So many current studies are about situational teaching,but most of the them only focus on the theory of situational teaching,and less attention was paid to the practice of situational teaching.At present,there are many problems in the application of situational teaching in primary schools,which makes it tough to achieve the ideal teaching effects.Therefore,it is very important to explore English situational teaching of primary schools from practical level and put forward specific teaching suggestions to help to achieve primary school English curriculum.The study objects are English teachers of primary schools in Yongzhou.The thesis makes investigations about the present application of situational teaching in English classes by observation,questionnaire,interview,document-data method and so on.The thesis focuses on revealing the existing problems of English situational teaching in primary schools and then puts forward some specific and feasible educational suggestions,aiming at providing some useful references for teachers in position.The results show that there still remains some problems:the situation that teachers create in English class is far from or not conformed with daily life;the situational teaching is superficial and formal;the situation is with low efficiency;the situational teaching has not various forms.According to these problems of situational teaching above,the author combines the teaching cases and puts forward some specific and corresponding strategies:first,make the application of situational teaching be more connected with life;second,make situational teaching have real effects;third,strengthen the effects of situational approach;fourth,enrich the ways of situational teaching. |
