In recent years, Chinese obese patients increased year by year. To2009, overweight and obesi ty rate in urban residents has reached to40.1percent, which is particularly serious in big cities. Positively seeking an effective treatment method is to be resolved urgently in the cl inical. The current methods of treating obesity are as follows:increase exercise, proper diet, acupuncture, drugs, surgery and so on, but none could meet the World Health Organization’s three diet principles’no diarrhea, no fatigue, no diet’. As a green and physical therapy, Tuina has been more and more recognized by scholars and patients. It is a TCM external treatment which mainly focuses on obesi ty in systemic and local adjustments that are made through dredging the meridians, reconci le qi and blood, in order to promote lipolysis, increase energy consumption, then to reduce heat storage in the body. In this study, the Tuina Zhenfu therapy’was founded in2003by Professor Zang Fuke, which refers to a loose wrist vibration method used in the abdomen. Because abdomen has direct or indirect contact with the14meridians, vibrate abdomen Tuina could both replenish the innate qi, but also enhance the transport of the spleen and stomach, and to promote the innate qi to the whole body via sanjiao, ranging from the organs inside to Jicou outside. Objective: Through clinical research, the study has observed the efficacy of Gongting Lijinshu Zhenfu therapy in treating simple obesity, and explored the relationship with Sanjiao Moyuan theory and its mechanism. Methods:The study was completed in Tuina outpatient of Dongzhimen Hospital affiliated to the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, including full of132cases,68patients in the treatment group and64cases in the control group. The concrete operation of Tuina group is as follows:①Press abdominal points: Point Selection:Liangmen (ST21), Guanmen (ST22), Taiyi(ST23), Huaroumen (ST24), Tianshu(ST25), Shuidao (ST28);②Take abdomen;③Transverse push abdomen;④Press points:Point Selection:Quchi(LI4), Hegu(LI11), Zusanli(ST36), Sanyinjiao(SP6);⑤Zhenfu;⑥Press back points with the elbow. Point selection of acupuncture control group is as follows:Shuifen (CV9), Guanyuan (CV4), Tianshu(ST25), Daheng (SP15), Quchi(LI4), Zhigou(TE6), Neiting(ST44), Fenglong(ST40), Shangjuxu(ST37), Sanyinjiao (SP6), Yinlingquan(SP9). Treat three times a week,12times as a course of treatment, observation of two courses. The clinical data of patients were studied after the treatments were compared. Results:After statistical analysis, weight loss (kg):the treatment group was8.81±3.46, the control group was7.53±3.84; body mass index decreased: the treatment group was3.47±1.75, the control group was2.83±1.59. After statistical analysis of each group, P<0.05, the difference was statistically significant.Conclusions:1Gongting Lijinshu Zhenfu therapy is more effective than acupuncture therapy in treating simple obesity.2Through conditioning sanjiao portal, the manipulation routine has promoted the innate qi to the whole body and made the water metabolism become normal. With a stable efficacy and low recurrence rate, the therapy is worthy of learning and conference in the clinical.3From the perspective of modern medicine, the manipulation acts on the body surface, by stimulating the meridians and acupoints, regulating the neurohormonal mechanisms to adjust the disordered endocrine status and increase the resting metabolic rate of the patients. On the one hand, the manipulation increases energy consumption, promotes the utilization of fat oxidation; on the other hand, the manipulation also suppresses the appetite and meanwhile the patients don’t feel hunger. Continuing operation can also increase blood circulation, enhance metabolism, thereby increasing consumption. Studies have found that Tuina can increase the patient’s urine excretion, indicating that Tuina has certain diuretic effect and it could regulate the salt and water metabolism of the body. And after the Tuina operation, the patients always feel relaxed, energetic and are also willing to participate in physical activity. In this way, we have also achieved the healthy weight loss goals.
