Six Sigma CCMC Machining Standard Working Hours Reduced Project Application Analysis

In the1980’s, with huge quality pressure form Japanese companies, Motorola company need improve its poor products quality, they began six sigma program and got very good results, Six sigma management was established by Motorola Company, but it was developed by Jack Welch, the CEO and chairman of GE company.There are many kinds of management systems and methods, six sigma is the most popular always in the world.This thesis introduces the history of quality management, have the comparison of six sigma management methods and other performance improvement tools, it shows the characteristics of six sigma management.I lead Gear Pump machining cycle time reduction six sigma project in CCMC Company, it introduces how to use six sigma methods and tools in actual process and project improvement. The first project define opportunities phase created project chart, especially the project target Y and influence factor Xs. Second, the measure and analyze phase identified project main improvement direction:machining program improvement. The project improve and control phase, with the project implementation, used the process ability tool Cpk to verify quality reliability, and analysis of variance tool (ANOVA) to verify the effectiveness of the improvement. At last, we analyzed the project financial achievement713,458RMB annual incomes in2013, and successful completion of the project goal703,671RMB saving. This case study shows six sigma management support enterprise continuous process improvement successful.
