Practice Report Of Consecutive Interpretation-Winter Camp Of Confucius Institute At Chinese Radio International

With the continuous development of Chinese economy, exchanges between China andforeign countries are deepening. As China’s economy booms, China’s comprehensivenational strength, cultural influences are also rising. Other countries pay more attention to therising China. They hope to learn more about China through Chinese culture. In order toimprove the international status, China welcomes people form other countries to learn moreabout it. The establishment of the Confucius Institutes not only satisfies the foreigners tolearn Chinese, but also promotes China’s cultural soft power.This report is an experiential summary of being an interpreter for an importantinterpreting task—winter camp entrusted by Confucius Institute at CRI. It has four parts: taskdescription, process description, case analysis and summary, in which the task background,preparation and process are comprehensively discussed. The paper analyzes the troublesduring this task, points out problems of interpreter, and summarizes this practice with theprospection to the future study and work.This report points out many existing problems in the task. Learners should be timelyfind their own problems and the solution; learners should continuously improve theirprofessional capability and comprehensive ability, strengthen their psychological competenceand physical fitness; learners should improve their ability of interpreting through practices.
